…but I’m not gay… or a puppet…
I don’t know why I’m so drawn to the scandal of Senator Larry Craig but I just am. I listened to the Interrogation of Larry Craig Audio Tape yesterday and just kept rolling my eyes at how much of a politician this guy is, even when he was CLEARLY caught red, or uh… white handed. Keith Olberman did a great Countdown the other day with a skit called Dragnet – Senator Craig (R), Just the Facts and it’s pretty freaking awesome :)
To celebrate the upcoming Avenue Q tour stop in good ol’ Des Moines, I thought I’d post this cute little clip that I found on YouTube today. Just watch it and smile like i did :)

Gay Shame Parade
My friend Troy passed this on to me today and I just couldn’t help but post about it. Mainly because it completely reminded me of the first Des Moines Pride Parade I went to after only being exposed to Chicago’s Pride up until that point. Now I don’t want to sound like Des Moines has no “pride” because it certainly does. However, there’s a certain kind of small town, fish-out-of-water sorta thing going on. And I’m not taking about the lesbian vespa brigade representing Iowa’s proud Dykes on Bikes, which we affectionly coined “Cooters on Scooters.”
And here are two photos from this year’s Pride Parades in Des Moines and Chicago that may help explain why this article made me chuckle so much. Check out my Flickr for many, many more!

Call On Me… again and again
I was listening to my internet radio station, Fusion Radio, and one of my favorite songs came on, “Call On Me” by Eric Prydz. I always got a kick out of the video for this song so I decided to search for it on my lunch break today. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of wonderful renditions that I just had to post some of my favorites :)
